What we WON’T do

Honesty is a core part of what we do. If we can’t repair it, we’ll tell you upfront and explain why, as there is nothing worse than being over-sold. Plus, we also focus on what we are good at, continuing to innovate in repair techniques and grow our range of services slowly over time, as we know that specialist expertise takes time.

As an example, here’s a few things that we don’t do because it’s not what we’re experts at:

Cracked shower bases: Repairing shower bases that have hairline cracks or have even been cracked right through – this is because a shower base commonly holds your body weight, and without having confidence in the structure underneath your shower base it makes it very hard to provide a reliable repair that won’t crack again.

Cracked vanities: Vanities or sinks that have hairline cracks or have even been cracked all the way through. As a sink is commonly hollow, when they crack it generally indicates there is more damage internally. Repairing large cracks can lead to more damage, and once the structural integrity of the sink is compromised can lead to very expensive water accidents. In this case, we’d highly recommend replacing the sink entirely to ensure you don’t get any further water damage to your home.

Cutting or polishing stone: We are chip repair experts. We leave this work to very capable and expert stone masons.

Rusted metal or enamel baths: Once a bath is rusted it makes it very hard to repair without the rust returning.

Resurfacing or repainting shower bases or baths: This is a bigger process that requires a different skill set to chip repair, so we leave this to the experts. We have some great ones we can recommend if needed.

Glass or automotive chip repair: The materials and surfaces are very different to normal home surfaces, so we don’t offer glass or automotive chip repair. There are great experts that do this already.
